Thanks to everyone's hard work and perseverance, Ocean View Contemporary received DRB approval on Wednesday, June 22nd 2016. We're off to the races now!
Our architect has submitted our plans for our building permit (DRB approval is required prior to plan submission). Once we receive plan check comments and respond to those comments, we'll be issued a building permit.
In the interim, we move forward.
I've made design changes to all of the bathrooms and the kitchen in one of the units, so the designs would be totally custom and unique vs. the same design for both units.
Over the last two weeks I've been considering changing from porcelain plank floors to hardwood floors, but I've decided against going in that direction, because I wanted to keep the floors consistent. Moving to hardwood would have required that I made a flooring change in the bathrooms, which I wanted to avoid.
Both units are in the process of getting framed out, and the room sizes are really looking and feeling fabulous. We made minor changes in the master bedrooms last week to enlarge the bedroom portion, but other than that, we are still on track to complete the project in October of 2016.
